Treaty Oak Chapter of the ABWA
ABWA MISSION
The mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together businesswomen of diverse back-grounds and
to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education,
networking support and national recognition.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership in ABWA and Treaty Oak Chapter is open to any person.
Membership is at two levels: national and local. National membership is renewed annually on your membership anniversary
and is billed by ABWA national office ($90). Chapter membership is based on the chapter year; ours begins in February ($24).
Members
must be in good standing locally and nationally to receive full member benefits.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships
are awarded based on specific, established criteria and paid by bingo funds. The Education Committee reviews applications and
makes recommendations to the chapter. Members are not eligible for Treaty Oak scholarships, but may receive scholarships from
other ABWA chapters.

Your participation in chapter administration and activities provides opportunities for personal growth in the areas of leadership,
business skills, speaking, and presentations. Individual recognition comes through member spotlights, committee and officer

in Council activities and ABWA conferences and conventions offers access to additional growth, learning and recognition opportunities.
